Yarns and Colours

A quick post of some inspiration I had from looking thru the view magazine I bought a couple of months ago.
The first pic is of some yarns I flicked over several times before. Today though I read the introduction.

"Transend: yarn inspiration
"Here, we see super shine meeting super matt and heavy gravity loaded yarns with the finest super-lightweights. The atmosphere is one of contrast and illusion. Elaborate and plain mix together. Iridescent drifts in and out of light absorbent surfaces. Experiment with surfaces that merge and morph into others. Transparency play is important moving from fragile open structures to opaque in one garment. Spun and filament yarns all feature across many fibres: precision silk twists, wool, viscose and polyamide blends, metallics, stainless steel and glass reflective surfaces, fluorescent and glow in the dark, paper tape yarns. Slub and jewel effects punctuate knit surfaces. This is an area of innovation and epic contrasts."
I love it. I feel like I could design a whole range just on those words.
The next few images are tasty surfaces and colour swatches I could see in a range. Also from View.
