Pure colours, Mr Lacroix your a genius!
Christian Lacroix Velvet and Beaded Ensemble
A sumptuous black velvet Christian Lacroix ensemble with an exuberant and colorful sequin embroidery.
As I was researching today I found this patchwork Ball Skirt with matching wrap at a vintage shop in the USA. Unfortuneatly it is out of my price range but inspiring all the same. and the best part is the label and linning. The colours are my favourite with lime green and hot pink.
This is the information about the skirt from the website:
CHRISTIAN LACROIX PATCHWORK BALL SKIRT W/MATCHING WRAP
Circa 1990's Christian Lacroix extravagant multi-color patchwork embroidered silk brocade skirt with a contrasting thick woven wool and silk reversible wrap. The pouf ball skirt is designed to mimick the wench waif full skirt peasant look of the 1800's with Lacroix adding a strong presence of modern French haute couture. The result is a cornucopia of lavish luxury in textiles and a forward fashion look just right for the late 1980's-90's.
